Hey, Everyone!
In my last blog post on how to continue creating during a personal crisis, I mentioned that I’d been “getting a lot done” in spite of recent events (losing my maternal uncle and my paternal uncle exactly 4 weeks apart) but it became clear that folks who only read LittleZotz.com were like “uh… suuuure you are, Lauren… There’s, like, nothing here…>_<“
Well, silly goose, that’s because LittleZotz.com isn’t my only website, and hasn’t been in quite some time! 😛
I also run HorrorFam.com and host the HorrorFam.com Podcast! It’s a positive-minded website focused on horror — a homey place for horror fans with articles (by myself and others), audio, and videos created with a pure love for the horror genre and the people who make it so special.
HorrorFam.com isn’t for kids, but it’s family-friendly. Think PG13 instead of a hard R as far as horror-related stuff goes. You can browse HorrorFam.com’s content in public without having people let out scandalized gasps if they peek over your shoulder. It’s actually a wonderful website to go to for both diehard horror fans (like myself, my husband, my parents, my besties, etc.) and for people who want to support the horror fans in their life and/or introduce someone they love (gently!) to the horror genre.
Here’s a video of myself putting on makeup before immediately segueing into hosting the most recent episode of the HorrorFam.com Podcast — and, don’t worry, there’s nothing scary in this video at all (unless you think my face in scary… in which case, um, ow?):
That was from riiiiiiiiiiight before the beginning of Episode 18. If you’d like to watch/listen to the full episode, you can check it out here: “Kids” Horror Movies That Aren’t for Kids
Here’s a quote from the episode to pique your interest as well:
And, when I’m not on LittleZotz.com or HorrorFam.com, I’m probably eating or sleeping or cleaning or gardening or thinking or poopin’… Even content creators are allowed to be human beings sometimes.
Thank you for reading/listening to/watching/supporting my content and my life. I hope you’re doing well and that 2022 hasn’t been too cruel to you.
Until next time,
Lauren*

NOTES:
Our cat Flex made an appearance in the makeup video above! She was mad that I had the door closed and was scratching and yowling to get in. If you watch closely you can see me saying “Flex! Flex stahp!!” and then opening the door… at which point I tried to show her what I was up to (she was uninterested). In pure cat-like fashion, she left as soon as she got what she wanted (the door open) and I said “Okay? Bye.” She made SUCH a huge fuss and then didn’t even want to be in the room after all! Cats are silly. Haha.
Flex’s mom, Tina, makes an on-camera appearance during the actual HorrorFam.com Podcast episode so, if you’ve watched both videos, you got to see both of our cats! ♥

As you may have noticed, it totally betrayed me (even after multiple checks before doing the podcast intro!) and gave me red-stained “vampire” teeth!! That said, if you actually wait for it to dry before talking, it does stay put lol. That was a User Error on my part, but I thought I’d mention it in case you’re in a rush like I was and don’t wanna have an incident. :O

For my eyeshadow, I used the Constellation palette from Revolution; however, my friend sent it to me from the UK and I couldn’t find it available on US Amazon. It IS available at American Target stores and on the US version of Revolution’s website though 😊 But, if you’re looking to support me AND get a Revolution eyeshadow palette, I found this one on Amazon that has very similar colors: https://amzn.to/3NM2tv3 (It has more of a geode/thunder egg look to the case instead of a nebula)
